Taylor’d With Love and MaryEllen Locher Foundation®
Taylor Mullinax was recently recognized as a hero by Build A Bear company for her community service. When Taylor’s mom was diagnosed with cancer two years ago, Taylor wanted to do something to help cancer patients. She formed Taylor’d With Love and through the help of MaryEllen Locher Foundation® founder MaryEllen Locher she began making autograph hats for children who were undergoing chemotherapy treatment for cancer. She includes a Sharpie and a special note with each hat and loves to give them out personally when she visits hospitals. As a Build A Bear hero Taylor was awarded $1,000 to be given to her favorite charity - Children of Breast Cancer. If you are interested in a hat from our MaryEllen Locher Foundation® hero please email us by clicking here. |

Applicant's Words:
"I have tried to adjust to being the mom of my household. Every
morning I get my 6-year-old sister and 10- year- old brother
ready for school to catch the bus. I have adjusted to putting
others' needs before my own. This is one of the many valuable
characteristics which my mother taught me." |
