My having cancer was so hard on my family and especially my daughter who was 11 years old when I was diagnosed. Just yesterday, she received a scholarship from the Children of Breast Cancer Foundation. I cannot tell you what a joyous occasion that was for me to be able to see her joy as she received the honor. I am so thankful to God that I am still alive to be here to see it happen. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! And I am thankful to MaryEllen and her friends for making the foundation and the scholarship possible.

There is not a day that goes by that I don't not think of my cousin Kim (Vismale.) She was a sweetheart and I miss her terribly. She also had an aunt and two uncles (my dad) to succumb to cancers. It a very scary thing for the whole family to endure. But Kim was always strong even up until the end. Meagan thanks for remembering. We will all miss her!

I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 29. My son was 8 years old and I was always thinking that if something happened to me what would happen to him. I am so glad to see this program. It is 20 years later and I have seen my son graduate high school and college. Later he married and now I have 2 wonderful grandchildren. At times I feel guilty for being a 20 year breast cancer survivor but then I pray that this will help other women to know that some do survive. I am so thankful to God for allowing me to live. Thank you for all the good deeds that you are doing and may God bless you!

I would just like to let Children of Breast Cancer know how appreciative I am of the financial assistance they gave me for a college education. This organization is allowing my career dreams to come true as I plan to pursue an education in the medical field. My mother passed away on October 15, 2005 and it was such an honor to receive this scholarship while she was living. Maybe one day I will be able to help those who fight each and every day for life as they battle the disease of cancer. Thanks again for making my dreams come true.

The addition of Randy Owen to this organization is wonderful. Randy is a very sincere man who is passionate in the way he lives his life and shares his feelings with others. As a 295 day survivor of breast cancer myself, I applaud everyone involved . . . families, friends!

I'm truly sorry at the loss of your founder. Having suffered the loss of my wife and my children's mother in Nov 2002, I can sympathize with the emotions you may be dealing with. Rita was a teacher of special education students and was a volunteer until her treatments kept her from helping anymore. My children are still adjusting to not having their mother's love and guidance. Please remember you are in our prayers.

I just wanted to express my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of MaryEllen. My aunt died 2 1/2 years ago from breast cancer after a 6 year fight. My mom and I both have been inspired by MaryEllen and her fight and how she used that to help others in the community. She will be greatly missed but her legacy will live on as others continue the good works she has started.

I lost my mother to breast cancer 8 years ago. I can't describe the emotions that rushed through me last night when I heard the news. The similarities between my mother and MaryEllen are uncanny. The world will miss both of these incredible women. I wish the best for her husband and son in these difficult times ahead.
